How are you? I am doing well, and I hope to see you the next time I’m home. (can expand more if you like)
I want to bring you up to date on what is happening in my life. As you know, I’m a student at the University of ______at __________. While there, I have been active with Cru, a student Christian ministry. As a Christian, my highest priority has been to grow in my relationship with the Lord, and my involvement with Cru has been incredibly helpful.
This coming May, I have a unique opportunity to participate in a Cru 5 day emerging leader training conference called the Leadership TREK. This is a tremendous opportunity for me and other emerging leaders to get the training, equipping, and confidence needed to be a leader in our campus movement.
During my five-day experience I will not only be encouraged in my own walk with Christ, but will be under the teaching of many seasoned ministry leaders from our upper-Midwest region. They will lead us in seminars and workshops that will equip me to make an impact on my campus for Christ. I will be attending with around 70-90 other emerging leaders from dozens of campuses representing five states. One evening we will even be applying what we learn by going into the city of La Crosse and doing what we call a rescue mission – sharing the gospel message with the youth of the city.
In order to attend, I need to develop a financial sponsorship team: a group of people who will help me attend the conference. My total need is $349. Would you prayerfully consider making an investment of $_____ toward helping me get to the leadership TREK?
